2020 will leave a significant mark in the history of humanity due to the Covid-19 pandemic. If the African continent seems, at first glance, to be more resistant than many other areas of the world, the social, economic and societal impact of this pandemic is already a disaster for its people.
Given the current circumstances, African Artists for Development has decided to immediately set up, as of May 2020, the Resistances 2020 program. This program focuses its efforts on three countries: Benin, Democratic Republic of Congo and South Africa. Its main goals are to provide emergency food, educational and health responses to populations severely affected by this pandemic, while creating an artistic historical trace of this period for future generations.
