It is with great sadness that AAD’s team received the news of the death of Kiripi Katembo Siku.
As a young emerging photographer, passionated and always innovating, Kiripi was an integral part of the Congolese cultural scene. Founder of the first Kinshasa Biennial in 2014, his work is currently on display at the exhibition “Beauté Congo” at the Cartier Foundation, in Paris.
AAD has always closely followed this artist, and had hoped to collaborate on future projects together. Kiripi had become, throughout the years, more than a collaborator, a true friend.
The team at AAD offers their sincere support to the family, and those close to the artist. Today, we have lost a close friend, while the art world has lost one of its most promising figures.
