AAD will release next fall the second volume of the comic book “The Diamonds of Kamituga”. Pages after pages this humanitarian thriller brings the reader back into the adventures of our two heroes from Bukavu to Kinshasa. From the diamond mines to the “Sapeurs” of Kinshasa, it is all the latest news of Congolese society that is painted by the famous Congolese cartoonist Séraphin Kajibwami and writer Appollo. Once again this comic book brings together discovery of the DRC and fundamental information on HIV/AIDS.

This second volume is evidently in line with AAD commitment to achieve the sixth Millennium Development Goal as defined by the United Nation: the prevention of HIV/AIDS through a new medium, comic books.

It will be sent to DRC and 150,000 copies will be handed out for free in the South-Kivu region and in DRC’s main cities, in particular in Kinshasa, Lubumbashi and Kisangani.
