From Friday, September the 29th to yesterday, a part of AAD’s team (Matthias Leridon and Jean-Michel Champault) made the trip up to Centrafric and Democratic republic of Congo in order to attend the closing show within the refugee’s camp of Mole, in DRC.
This stay was an opportunity to meet, in Bangui, members of UNHCR and two out of the six chorographers of our program Refugees on the Move:Fabrice don de Dieu Bwabulamutima, trainer at the Mole’s camp in DRC and Boniface Watanga, trainer at the Batalimo camp in Central African Republic. A great opportunity to share good practices and future improvements for the program.
From Bangui, we need to cross the « Ubangi » river by dugout in order to arrive to the Mole’s camp in DRC. This crossing was made on Saturday, September the 1st in order to attend on Sunday morning, the closing ceremony; a moment full of dance and strong emotions for every stakeholder of this program.
A short stay that enable us to confirm our commitment within refugees’ camp and maintain our conviction to use art as an effective lever for development.
