We are intensively preparing AKAA, first African contemporary art and design fair in France. AKAA will take place at « Carreau du Temple », from November the 10th, to November the 13th. During this fair, an immersion into our project “Refugees on the Move” and its philosophy will be offered. The refugees quotes, photographies (from Teddy Mazina among others) as well as movies aim at demonstrating that the strengths of art as a communication tool and mean of action is a necessity within development world.
Paying tribute to every stakeholder of the « refugees on the move » program and their work, the choregrapher Salia Sanou will present, Friday, September the 11th, fragments of his show « Du Désir d’horizons ». This work is directly linked to Salia Sanou’s experience within the refugee’s camp in Burkina Faso. Some great moments, we can’t wait sharing!
Meanwhile, and sharing this vision of art as a mean of development in Africa, the exhibition Lumières d’Afriques is on the road again. After a stop at Abidjan, it will, starting in January 2017, stop at Dakar for several weeks.
