In 2020, Human Rights Day celebrates the 72nd anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, adopted by the United Nations General Assembly on 10 December 1948. Human Rights are much more than a subject for a lesson or the theme of a day: it is a process that aims to ensure that everyone is equipped to live their lives in security and dignity. Today, AAD-Fund is celebrating World Human Rights Day with you. Together, let’s work so that all the inhabitants of our world can live in freedom, security and peace.
On the occasion of the Human Rights Day, AAD-Fund invites you to take part in the webinar “The imperative of cultural justice: arts for inclusion, equity and human rights” which will unveil the collective work undertaken by the members of the “Art-Lab for Human Rights and Dialogue” Platform, in which AAD-Fund is involved. The Art-Lab Platform was initiated during a Design Thinking workshop co-organized by UNESCO and OHCHR in Geneva, in February 2020, bringing together practitioners, cultural operators, artists, experts in human rights, cultural rights an intercultural dialogue, and humanitarian workers. Let’s meet there at 3pm today !
